About Troddenvale at Oakley Farm
Nestled in the historic Warm Springs Valley, Troddenvale at Oakley Farm is a beautifully preserved mountain property and working cidery surrounded by the George Washington National Forest. Founded in 1834 and rooted in Virginia’s great springs region, the land is known for its flowing mineral waters, limestone-rich soil, and deep agricultural heritage.

The farm is lovingly owned and stewarded by our dear friends Will and Cornelia, along with their children, Angus and Eloise, who live on the property. We fell in love with both the quiet beauty of the land and the warmth of the people who care for it, and we’re so grateful to gather here with you.

THE FLOW

Friday, June 5

4:30 PM — Ceremony Rehearsal (Wedding Crew)
Troddenvale at Oakley Farm
For those participating in the wedding ceremony, we’ll gather for rehearsal in the field behind the Foodlore event before joining everyone afterward.

4:00–6:15 PM — Foodlore Fridays (Optional)
Troddenvale at Oakley Farm

This is a casual, open-to-the-public gathering with a food truck, live music by Holy River, and wonderful cider + wine available at the bar. Highly recommend checking it out. A beautiful, easy way to land and settle into the weekend.

6:15 PM — Dinner + Toasts (Please arrive on time.)
Old Dairy” (Behind Milk House Market)

From Foodlore, we’ll head just down the road for a relaxed, buffet-style farm-to-table dinner and open bar—all guests are warmly invited.

We’ll begin toasts promptly at 6:45 PM as everyone settles in with food—we’d love for you to be there for this moment. We’ll wrap up around 8 PM. Warm Springs winds down early (there’s no real nightlife), but guests are welcome to stay and linger at dinner afterward.

Attire — You do you. We’ll be somewhere between dressy casual and semi-formal.

A Note on Service — You will lose service toward the end of the drive—just keep your map app open and don’t close out ;) Service picks back up a bit once you arrive.

Saturday, June 6

Food before the wedding: Keep in mind there is no grocery store nearby. We recommend The Tavern at the Warm Springs Inn for a great breakfast buffet + lunch options, or The Milk House Market for quick, delicious sandwiches. Bring ya snacks.

4:00 PM — Optional Welcome Drink & Arrival
Troddenvale at Oakley Farm
Feel free to arrive early to enjoy a cider, wine or mocktail before we get seated.

4:50 PM — Guests Seated for Ceremony
We’ll begin making our way to the ceremony site for seating.

5:00–10ish PM — Wedding Celebration
Troddenvale at Oakley Farm
Ceremony · Cocktail Hour · Dinner · Celebration of Love Dance Party 🪩
Liz may even stay up past her bedtime;)

Attire — Spring formal. Dress up as you wish.

Note on Drinks — Troddenvale’s in-house, wildcrafted cider will be flowing (a must try). We’ll also have wine, a special cider Aperol spritz, a couple of beer options, fresh mountain spring water on tap, and mocktails available. Guests are welcome to bring their own liquor if preferred.

Parking + Transportation: There is no Uber or ride app services in Warm Springs. There is one local transportation company (B&L: 540-968-3335), though availability can be limited and pricing higher—so we recommend arranging rides in advance with a trusted DD, carpooling when possible, or walking if you’re staying nearby.

From The Gristmill Inn
We highly encourage walking—it’s a short and beautiful route. (Ladies, consider bringing flats for the walk.)
Look for the “foot trail” sign on your left as you approach the property. Follow the path through the pasture to arrive at the ceremony site, and continue up to reach the bar + welcome area.

If Driving to the Venue:
Please carpool and park in the designated lot near the white stables.

  • From Sam Snead Hwy: take your first left and follow the small signs to the lot.

  • From Katydid Trail: pass the venue barn, then turn right and follow signs to the lot.

Wedding Registry

Because this celebration came together quickly, we may not have time to create a traditional registry. Your presence is truly the greatest gift.
